NC's Criminal Justice Resource Directory for Practitioners, Offenders and Their Families
Increasing Access to Criminal Justice Resources
Coming January 2010
In our role as a statewide criminal justice advocacy nonprofit and information clearinghouse, the Carolina Justice Policy Center has advocated for criminal justice reforms in North Carolina since 1975. In our 35th year we want to increase access to the resources currently available in the communities.
In January 2010, the Carolina Justice Policy Center will publish 'North Carolina's Criminal Justice Resource Directory for Practitioners, Offenders and their Families' online at www.justicepolicycenter.org. A limited number of printed copies will also be available by request.
The directory is intended as a compass to help navigate North Carolina's network of community-based corrections programs, alternative programs to incarceration, re-entry programs, legal assistance programs, substance abuse treatment programs and other service programs located throughout North Carolina's 100 counties.
Please take a moment to fill out an information sheet to include your organization in the directory. Also, please forward this email to partners in your work or organizations that you know who provide these resources throughout the state. While we intend to build upon the information in this directory each year, we want to be as accurate and inclusive as possible in the first edition.
